Online store Find - Artistica.com

Everyone knows my weakness for pottery, and especially chunky hand painted Italian and Spanish ceramics. Granted, I only own a few (actually 2) pieces of the real stuff, (a hand painted coffee mug from Torrefazione in Pioneer Square, Seattle and a fat water jug from Deruta, also in Seattle) and the irony is that I paid so much for them, I don't use them for fear of dropping them or chipping them!!!

Anyway, long story short.....while surfing the web for some oil cruets, I came across this site and did a double take! You know sometimes you are asked, what will you do if you win a million bucks...??? Well, I would buy up this entire store...or at least half the store cos the prices are so high that's all I could get for a million bucks!

So in case you are wondering what I am talking about, take a look.....

Anyway, as it turns out, what I wanted (pic #1) is way too pricey...I could go to Italy for that amount!! So I am just going to have to add it to my wish list, or win that lottery!!!!!

Photographer Andrea Costa

I just had to share these gorgeous pictures taken by a photographer, one Andrea Costa. I know nothing about him, except that while surfing the net I found these images absolutely captivating! They are so gorgeous, they are almost like paintings....the colors are unrealistically intense and vivid, the composition feels almost artificially made up. This is what he has to say about his passion....

"I think that the photo itself contains the rightest style possible to make it appreciate. There is a challenge that attracts me more than others, and it consists in finding out the most suitable style or making adjustments to make a photo communicate a precise moment, an emotion or, more simply, to highlight a particular element not always easy to be caught." ~Andrea Costa

UPDATE:
Thanks to Sharon at The Key Bunch, here is a link to Andrea Costa's Facebook page! And here is his blog!

Apologies....an update to my post!

......to my fellow bloggers and readers who thanks to my absent mindedness and oversight, did not find an Indian themed room in the previous post about rooms that appealed to them. So Patty and Sayantani.....I have added a room just for you two. And anyone else of course, who needs a bit of India in their rooms! After all I am a desi design blogger!!!
So if you go back to the original post...it's there waiting for you!
