Monday Mosaic - Memories of Alki

For Mary's Mosaic Monday I am using pictures I took when we stayed on Alki Avenue in Seattle. Alki is the westernmost point in the West Seattle district of Western Washington. Our condo was right across Puget Sound and we woke up to spectacular sunrises and went to bed by equally gorgeous sunsets! On a sunny Seattle day we could see across the water to Bainbridge and Vashon Islands. At sunset, the water would take on a golden sheen with the mountains silhouetted in the background. And when the infamous Seattle rain fell, the skies would tun dark and dull and grey and the rain would come down in sheets! No two sunrises or sunsets were ever the same. Colors would range from twilight's dusky pink, to a sunset's deep fiery red, to a rainstorm's deep grey to a sunrise's russet gold.....here is the same view looking out from our living room window, taken across different seasons and times of the day!
